By Baptism
A candidate for membership by baptism may present himself at any regular church meeting by professing an experience of Christian salvation, and may be received as such by a vocal expression of welcome by the members present. Mt. Zion Baptist Church baptizes by submersion, since this was how Jesus was baptized (according to Mark 1:9-10 KJV).
By Letter
A member in good standing of another Baptist church of like faith and order -- that is, a church subscribing to the same doctrine and covenant as does Mt. Zion Baptist Church -- may be received in membership as in Article V., Section 2, subject to the receipt of a favorable letter from his church.
By Statement
Should a member of another Baptist church of like faith and order -- that is a church subscribing to the same doctrine and covenant as does Mt. Zion Baptist Church -- present himself for membership and is unable to furnish a letter, either because his church has disbanded, or for any other reason, the church may receive the candidate.
