Music Ministry

Mt. Zion Baptist Church, West Paducah, KY is a church that loves music!  The Music Ministry has been founded upon a rich history of singing gospel music and hymns and continues in that to this very day.  God has blessed this ministry because we stay united around three objectives:

“Let the Word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”  Colossians 3:16

Our Music groups consist of:

Celebration Choir: Rehearsal 7:30pm Wednesday nights
Children’s Choir: Rehearsal 6:30pm Wednesday nights
Preschool Choir: Rehearsal 6:30pm Wednesday nights

Seasonal events: Christmas Pageants for all choirs, Resurrection Sunday Presentations, Patriotic Celebrations, Fall Concert, Student Ministry Choir and Drama Team

Media Ministry

The Mt. Zion Media Team exist to connect all people to Jesus Christ through the technology of Sound, Lights, Computer, Media, CD & DVD Ministry.

Mt. Zion Media/Tech Department Purpose Statement:

Realizing that people learn in 3 different ways:

• Visual (seeing)
• Auditory (hearing)
• Kinesthetic  (touching)

The Media/Tech Department of Mt. Zion Baptist Church exists to produce full scale multimedia presentations that:

• Exalt the Savior
• Assist in drawing the people in worship to a place where they know Christ and hear His voice
• Assist the people in worship in understanding the message from God
• Allow the Holy Spirit to move and not to be hampered or quenched by anything presented
• Are on the cutting-edge of ministry and technology
