Brent Lee

Associate Pastor of Youth & Discipleship

Born in 1970 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY, the eldest of four children, Brent grew up in a Christian family and has never known life outside of the Church.  Professing Christ at the early age of eight, he has always been counted among the religious faithful.  After his teenage years where he participated in the regionally successful West KY Baptist Associational Youth Choir, his early adulthood found him pursuing a career in the wholesale pharmaceutical field.  After several years on the road as a single man he chose to pursue other career opportunities off the road where he met his wife of 24 years, Terris Fortner Lee.  After five years of marriage the Lord blessed them with the birth of their first son, Andrew, in 1997 and then their second son, Jonathan, in 1999.

It was during these years that Brent began serving as a lay youth leader at his home church of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cunningham, KY, where his efforts led to the formation a Wednesday Night Worship service for youth known as Wednesday Night Live and its own praise and worship team known as Freeway.  It was during this era of lay ministry that Brent began to wrestle with the call to full-time vocational ministry.  He publicly surrendered to preach in August of 2001 and was pastoring his first church in December of the same year.

After 14 years of full-time ministry, where God blessed with the salvation of many souls, Brent felt the leading of the Lord to step away from full-time ministry to pursue bi-vocational opportunities.  He accepted the position of Associate Pastor of Youth and Discipleship at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 2015 where he happily serves with his family today.  Brent holds a BA in Organizational Leadership from Mid-Continent University and an MA in Church Leadership from Liberty University.  He is just a few credit hours short of a second MA in Religious Education and would like to finish that degree in the near future.
