DISCIPLESHIP

God intends for his children to not just be saved, but to become disciples who are dedicated to learning more about Him and by doing so have a closer relationship with Him. Jesus didn’t tell the Apostles to make converts before He ascended into Heaven. Instead, He said:

Matthew 28:18-20 ESV / And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

It is as important in the life of the church to grow spiritually in discipleship as it is numerically. Through discipleship training and mentoring, our goal is to equip believers to win the lost to the Lord and then walk along side them as they learn in grow in their own relationship with the Lord.

What does the Bible say about “Discipleship”?

Discipleship \ following the teaching of Jesus Christ as indicated in the Bible, seeking a relationship with the Lord, and seeking out others that need to hear about this relationship and it’s benefits.
