A Celebration of Life will be held for Mrs. Joyce Tucker on Monday, November 27, 2023, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Service and interment to follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Pastor Jason is very passionate about communicating God's Word and helping people discover their identity in Christ. {But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9 CSB} He believes the church is meant to be a family of believers facing life's journey together. Jason loves spending time with his wife Ashely and their daughter Emma. He loves drinking black coffee, woodworking, and turning wrenches on his classic cars.

Jason has served in full-time ministry for just over twenty years. Before this, he served as a military policeman and a chaplain's assistant in the U.S. Army. Jason was ordained in 2004 by Broadway Baptist Church of Paducah KY. He has served as a youth pastor, family ministries pastor, associate pastor, and interim pastor before coming to Mt. Zion as our Senior Pastor. He and his wife Ashley hosted the Morning Mayhem (Christian comedy) radio show on Elevate FM. He was the general manager for the Heartland Ministries Radio group of radio stations. He has led missions teams in Eastern KY, La-Perla Puerto Rico, Montana Indiana Reservations, hurricane recovery teams in the Gulf region; and tornado recovery teams here in Western KY. He has served as a short-term missionary in Romania, Mexico, and various domestic locations. While serving as our pastor, Jason also serves as a member of the executive council for the West Union Baptist Association.

A member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, he believes in community involvement. Before moving back to Paducah, Jason co-founded the Marshall County Friday Night Lite Community Outreach. He served as a chaplain for the Marshall Co. High School football team. He served the community as a firefighter, EMT, and sheriff's deputy. He is a member of the American Legion Post 236.

Jason holds an A.S. Degree focusing on business management; a B.S. in Psychology & Christian Counselling; and a B.S. in Christian Ministries all from Mid-Continent University. He has completed graduate coursework focusing on Theology from Liberty University. He has ambitions of continuing his education focusing on theology and church development.
