As we age, life can become more challenging, and it can be difficult to accept the changes that come with it. The monotony of daily routines, dealing with health issues, visiting the doctor, and feelings of loneliness or loss of independence can all contribute to making this stage of life particularly tough.

However, the experience of living on this earth and going through the ups and downs of life provides us with a wisdom that younger generations may not yet possess. It is important to share this knowledge with them, including the spiritual lessons we have learned and the mistakes we have made. You are relevant.

God emphasizes our worth as human beings and his children when He states in...

Isaiah 46:4

Even when you’re old, I’ll take care of you.
Even when your hair turns gray, I’ll support you.
I made you and will continue to care for you.
I’ll support you and save you.

The Senior Saints, who are aged 55 and above, actively participate in various ministries across the MZBC community. Whether it's explaining the Word of God, sharing experiences, or praying for others to overcome their spiritual battles and witnessing the fulfillment of God's promises, being a part of these activities can be a truly transformative experience.
Our senior citizens, both men and women, are actively involved in community service in West Kentucky. They volunteer as sous chefs at Martha's Vineyard Community Kitchen in Paducah, KY, offering help to those living in poverty and struggling with homelessness and despair. Some men participate in our Men's Ministry outreach program, providing assistance to those who require help with jobs both inside and outside their homes. There are also others who visit our local ministry for adoption services, carrying their toolbox and spending the day there. In addition, senior ladies volunteer their time to teach sewing to people of all ages once a month, while some serve the mothers and fathers at Hope Unlimited with their ministry and evangelism efforts.
Sharing your life wisdom and how God has guided you through similar paths can be a great opportunity to help others navigate the struggles of life. It is an excellent way to provide guidance and knowledge of the scriptures that can guide them for a lifetime, bringing joy to both you and them.

Our Senior Saints ministry is centered around the principles of sharing life, serving others, and spreading the gospel. The men and women who are a part of this ministry have a deep-rooted spiritual presence and seek to follow the Lord's will in all aspects of their lives. They spend time together in various fellowship events, share meals, and engage in activities that promote a sense of community and togetherness.
